Here is a study from scripture showing that Yeshua did not teach christianity.
He taught Torah. He taught The Way.
This study shows what The Way was and still Is today.
📜 YESHUA DID NOT TEACH “CHRISTIANITY”
He Taught TORAH and “THE WAY”
1. Yeshua upheld the Torah — He did NOT abolish it
Matthew 5:17-19
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets…
until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter shall pass from the Law…”
Key point:
- Yeshua directly warns people NOT to think He came to do away with Torah
- He says obedience matters—and teaches others to obey
2. Yeshua lived and taught obedience to Yahweh’s commandments
John 14:15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
John 15:10
“I have kept My Father’s commandments…”
Key point:
- Yeshua’s standard = the Father’s commandments
- He didn’t replace them—He modeled them
3. Sin is defined by the Law (Torah)
1 John 3:4
“Sin is the transgression of the law.”
Key point:
- If the Law were gone, sin would have no definition
- The apostles still used Torah as the standard
4. Yeshua taught HOW to keep the Law correctly
Matthew 23:1-3
“The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat…
therefore do what they tell you—but do not do as they do.”
Key point:
- He upheld Moses (Torah authority)
- He corrected hypocrisy—not the Law itself
5. “THE WAY” is what His followers were called
Acts 9:2
“…if he found any belonging to the Way…”
Acts 19:9
“…speaking evil of the Way…”
Acts 24:14
“…according to the Way which they call a sect, I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things written in the Law and the Prophets.”
Key point:
- Early believers were NOT called “Christians” originally
- They were known as followers of The Way
- And they believed everything written in Torah
6. What is “THE WAY”?
Yeshua defines it:
John 14:6
“I am the way…”
Torah already defined it:
Deuteronomy 5:33
“Walk in all the ways which Yahweh your God has commanded…”
Key point:
- “The Way” = walking in Yahweh’s commandments
- Yeshua = the living example of that Way
7. The “new covenant” does NOT remove Torah—it writes it in us
Jeremiah 31:31-33
“I will put My law within them, and write it on their hearts…”
Key point:
- Same Law
- New location (heart, not stone)
- Not replaced—internalized
8. Yeshua’s message = obedience + repentance
Matthew 4:17
“Repent…”
Matthew 19:17
“If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
9. “Christianity” came later as a label
Acts 11:26
“The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”
Key point:
- The name came later
- It was not what Yeshua called His teaching
- It was a label given by others
🔥 SUMMARY
Yeshua did NOT teach:
- A new religion separate from Torah
- That the Law was abolished
- That obedience didn’t matter
Yeshua DID teach:
- Keep Yahweh’s commandments
- Repent and walk in righteousness
- Follow The Way (a life of obedience)
🧭 WHAT “THE WAY” STILL IS TODAY
- Walking as Yeshua walked
- Obeying Yahweh’s commandments
- Living Torah from the heart
- Rejecting hypocrisy, not obedience
1 John 2:6
“Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as He walked.”
