Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

There are so many problems in this life. As we get closer to the end of this age the problems are increasing.

Scripture tells us we should not worry about the future. 

Yahweh has something so much better in store for us than we can imagine.

Let’s learn what it is, when we will see it, and what we must do until then.

What Scripture Says About Worrying About the Future

Yeshua taught that His followers should not live in fear or anxiety about tomorrow because Yahweh knows our needs and is working out a far greater purpose than this present life.

Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

Matthew 6:31-34

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness... Therefore do not worry about tomorrow."

Luke 12:32

"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

1 Peter 5:7

"Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you."

Why We Should Not Worry

Because this life is temporary.

James 4:14

"For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."

The trials, losses, sicknesses, and disappointments of this age are temporary. Yahweh's plan extends far beyond our present physical lives.

What Yahweh Has Prepared For His People

Eternal Life in His Kingdom

1 Corinthians 2:9

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Revelation 21:3-4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain."

Resurrection From the Grave

John 5:28-29

"All who are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

"The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven... and the dead in Christ shall rise first."

Becoming Spirit Beings

1 Corinthians 15:51-53

"We shall all be changed... this mortal must put on immortality."

Ruling With Yeshua

Revelation 5:10

"And have made us kings and priests unto our God: and we shall reign on the earth."

Revelation 20:6

"They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."

What Must We Do?

Seek Yahweh First

Matthew 6:33

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness."

Repent and Obey

Acts 2:38

"Repent, and be baptized... and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Revelation 14:12

"Here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua."

Endure Faithfully

Matthew 24:13

"He who endures to the end shall be saved."

Hebrews 10:35-37

"Cast not away therefore your confidence... For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not delay."

When Will These Promises Come?

At the return of Yeshua.

Matthew 24:29-31

"Immediately after the tribulation... they shall see the Son of Man coming... and He shall gather His elect."

1 Corinthians 15:52

"At the last trumpet... the dead shall be raised incorruptible."

Revelation 11:15

"The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ."

The Message of Hope

The believer's focus is not on preserving this temporary life at all costs, but on the coming Kingdom of Yahweh.

Romans 8:18

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Hebrews 13:14

"For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come."

Philippians 3:20-21

"Our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior... who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body."

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT GRIEVING

After my son Sterling died. I joined a suicide survivor group for those who have lost a loved one. 

Many people have commented that my posts on the sleep of death have brought them comfort. 

Someone asked what the bible says about Grief. Here is a short bible study on the subject. Followed by a link to my post on Life After Death.

The Bible speaks honestly about grief. It never suggests that grieving is a sign of weak faith. Instead, it shows that grief is a natural response to loss while also offering hope in Yahweh's presence and promises.

Here are some key biblical themes about grieving:

• It is okay to grieve. Even faithful people mourned deeply. David grieved the deaths of loved ones (2 Samuel 1:11–12, 18:33). Job mourned the loss of his children (Job 1:20–21). The Bible never condemns them for grieving.

• Yeshua Himself grieved. When His friend Lazarus died, Yeshua wept (John 11:35), even though He knew He was about to raise Lazarus. This shows that sorrow and compassion are not opposed to faith.

• Yahweh is close to those who mourn. Psalm 34:18 says:
  "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
  
  This verse reminds believers that Yahweh does not abandon people in their pain.
• There is a time to mourn. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4 teaches:
  "There is a time for everything... a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance."
  
  Grief is presented as a normal part of life.
• Christians grieve with hope. The Bible distinguishes Christian grief from hopeless despair. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14, Paul writes:
  "We do not want you to grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope."
  
  This does not mean Christians do not grieve; it means they grieve while trusting in Yahweh's promise of resurrection and eternal life through Yeshua.
• Yahweh promises future comfort. Revelation 21:4 looks forward to a day when:
  "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain."
  
  This points to Yahweh's ultimate restoration.

The Bible also encourages believers to support one another in grief. Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Grief is not meant to be carried alone.

If you are grieving someone you have lost, the Bible's message is not "don't cry." Rather, it is: bring your sorrow to Yahweh, allow yourself to mourn, lean on others for comfort, and hold on to the hope that Yahweh is with you now and will one day make all things new.

May these words from Psalm 23 also encourage you:

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me... Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

David knew that when he died he would live again, and “dwell in the house of the Lord forever”

Like David, our loved ones that have died are now asleep in the grave. 
No more pain or suffering. No knowledge of the evil going on in this world. They don't even know they are dead. 

Their next conscious moment they will be alive again in the resurrection. Unaware of all the years they have been in the grave. 

They will be healed of the illness that took their lives. We will see them again. It won't be long now.

FOLLOW THE WAY — NOT MEN

Yeshua warned that MANY would come in HIS NAME, and deceive many. The MANY Yeshua spoke of were NOT those in worldly “churches”. but Yahweh’s elect. He warned that even Satan presents himself as an angel of light. We are not to follow a man or attend “churches” but follow The Way Yeshua established.

Here is a Scripture-based study that shows believers should follow Yeshua rather than place their trust in religious organizations or human leaders:

FOLLOW THE WAY — NOT MEN

Yeshua's Warning

Yeshua warned that deception would come from those claiming to represent Him:

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Matthew 24:5)

He later added:

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matthew 24:24)

Notice that the danger is not merely from openly unbelieving people, but from those who claim to represent the Messiah.

Satan Appears as an Angel of Light

The Apostle Paul warned:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)

Therefore, believers are commanded to test teachings rather than blindly accept religious authority.

Do Not Put Your Trust in Men

Scripture repeatedly warns against placing spiritual trust in human leaders:

"Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help." (Psalm 146:3)

"Thus saith Yahweh; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm." (Jeremiah 17:5)

The true disciple follows Yahweh and Yeshua first, regardless of what any religious leader teaches.

The Bereans Examined Everything

The Bereans were praised because they did not simply accept what they were told:

"They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." (Acts 17:11)

Every teaching should be tested against Scripture.

In todays Churches of God the Bereans would be “put out” for questioning the “head of the church”.

The Early Believers Followed "The Way"

The earliest followers of Yeshua were known as followers of "The Way."

"But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers." (Acts 24:14)

Their focus was not membership in a denomination, but obedience to Yahweh and faith in Yeshua.

Where Did They Meet?

The New Testament repeatedly shows believers meeting in homes:

• Acts 2:46
• Romans 16:5
• Colossians 4:15
• Philemon 1:2

The emphasis was on fellowship, teaching, prayer, and obedience—not on large religious institutions.

Yeshua Is the Head

Scripture teaches that Yeshua alone is the Head of His people:

"And he is the head of the body, the church." (Colossians 1:18)

No man is to take the place that belongs to Yeshua.

Beware of Religious Control

Yeshua warned against seeking spiritual titles and authority over others:

"One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren." (Matthew 23:8)

The greatest among believers is to be a servant, not a ruler over the faith of others.

Beware of Men Who Exalt Themselves

Throughout Scripture, Yahweh's servants pointed people to Yahweh—not to themselves.

Yeshua said:

"He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory." (John 7:18)

And:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7:15)

False Prophets Often Claim Great Titles

One of the recurring signs of spiritual deception is the desire for recognition, authority, and exalted titles.

Yeshua taught:

"But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren." (Matthew 23:8)

"Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ." (Matthew 23:10)

When a religious leader begins claiming unique prophetic offices, special authority, or titles that elevate himself above other believers, avoid such a man or group.

Test Every Claim

The Bible tells believers to:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God." (1 John 4:1)

No man should be accepted simply because he claims to be:

• "The Elijah"
• "That Prophet"
• A special end-time king
• The only voice of Yahweh on earth
• The sole channel through which Yahweh works

Such claims must be tested carefully against Scripture.

What Did the Apostles Do?

The apostles pointed believers to Yeshua, not themselves.

Peter said:

"We also are men of like passions with you." (Acts 14:15)

Paul wrote:

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord." (2 Corinthians 4:5)

The true servant of Yahweh seeks to magnify Yahweh and Yeshua—not himself.

The Danger of Following a Man

History shows that many religious movements begin when a charismatic leader convinces followers that he possesses a unique title, special revelation, or exclusive authority.

The result is often:

• Blind loyalty to a man.
• Fear of questioning leadership.
• Acceptance of failed prophecies.
• Division of families.
• Dependence on an organization rather than Yahweh

The Scriptural Standard

A faithful believer should ask:

• Does this man point people to Yahweh or to himself?
• Does he encourage independent Bible study?
• Do his teachings agree with Scripture?
• Have his prophecies proven true?
• Does he display humility or self-exaltation?

Yeshua said:

"Ye shall know them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:16)

Follow Yeshua, Not Self-Appointed Great Men

Yahweh never intended His people to place their faith in powerful personalities, religious celebrities, or self-proclaimed prophets.

Our calling is simple:

Follow Yahweh. Follow Yeshua. Test all things. Hold fast to what is true.

"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

What Should Believers Do?

1. Follow Yeshua above all men.
2. Test every teaching by Scripture.
3. Obey Yahweh's commandments.
4. Gather with other believers for fellowship and encouragement.
5. Refuse to surrender conscience to religious leaders.
6. Walk in "The Way" taught by Yeshua and the Apostles.

Conclusion

Yeshua warned that many deceivers would come in His name. Scripture therefore calls believers to examine all things, trust Yahweh rather than men, and follow Yeshua wherever He leads. The true disciple's loyalty is not to a denomination, organization, or human leader, but to Yahweh and His Messiah, Yeshua, who alone is the Head of His people.
