THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS (SONG)

[Intro]

Awake, awake, the hour is near,
Let every faithful servant hear.
The appointed day is drawing near—
The coming King will soon appear.

[Verse 1]

Yahweh appointed this holy day,
A trumpet calling us back to His way.
A sacred Sabbath, a gathering sound,
A warning carried the whole world around.

Lay down your labor, remember His Word,
Lift up your voice, let the message be heard.
The darkness will end, the nations will see—
Yeshua is coming in majesty.

[Pre-Chorus]

Blow the trumpet upon the mountain,
Sound the warning throughout the land.
Lift up your eyes, redemption is near—
The King of all kings will soon appear.

[Chorus]

The trumpet will sound,
And the dead will arise!
Yeshua will come
In the clouds of the skies.

The saints will be gathered,
The faithful will sing:
“The kingdoms of earth
Now belong to the King!”

The trumpet will sound,
Let its message ring—
Prepare the way
For the coming King!

[Verse 2]

No secret return, no silent display,
The heavens will open on that glorious day.
With power and glory, with angels around,
The voice of the archangel, the trumpet will sound.

Those who are sleeping will rise from the grave,
Changed to immortal, restored and made whole.
Death will surrender when Yahweh commands;
His children will rise by the work of His hands.

[Pre-Chorus]

Blow the trumpet upon the mountain,
Sound the warning throughout the land.
Lift up your eyes, redemption is near—
The King of all kings will soon appear.

[Chorus]

The trumpet will sound,
And the dead will arise!
Yeshua will come
In the clouds of the skies.

The saints will be gathered,
The faithful will sing:
“The kingdoms of earth
Now belong to the King!”

The trumpet will sound,
Let its message ring—
Prepare the way
For the coming King!

[Bridge]

Wake from your slumber!
Stand in the light!
Keep His commandments!
Walk in what’s right!

The age of rebellion
Is coming to an end.
The Kingdom of Yahweh
Is coming to men!

No more corruption,
No more wicked reign.
Yeshua is coming
To rule once again!

[Cinematic Shofar Break]

Blow the trumpet!
Sound the alarm!
The King is coming
With power in His arm!

Blow the trumpet!
Let every heart sing!
Crowned with glory—
Behold your King!

[Final Chorus]

The trumpet will sound,
And the dead will arise!
Yeshua will come
In the clouds of the skies.

The saints will be gathered,
The faithful will sing:
“The kingdoms of earth
Now belong to the King!”

The trumpet will sound,
Let all creation sing—
Yahweh’s Kingdom is coming,
And Yeshua is King!

[Outro]

The King is coming…
The dead will be raised…
The Kingdom of Yahweh
Will cover the earth.

Blessed are the people
Who know the joyful sound.
When the final trumpet calls us,
We will rise from the ground.

The trumpet will sound…
The trumpet will sound…
Prepare the way
For the coming King.

The Feast of Trumpets

The Day That Announces the Coming King

The Feast of Trumpets is one of Yahweh’s commanded annual Holy Days. In Hebrew it is commonly called Yom Teruah, meaning “the Day of Shouting” or “the Day of the Trumpet Blast.”

On the commonly used Hebrew calendar, the biblical day begins at sunset on Friday, September 11, 2026. Calendar calculations can differ among Torah-keeping groups.

“In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein.”
—Leviticus 23:24–25

1. Yahweh created it as an appointed time

The Feast of Trumpets is not a human tradition. It is one of the “feasts of Yahweh”—appointments established by Yahweh Himself.

(Click Here For A Study On Yahweh's Holy Days)

“These are the feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”
—Leviticus 23:4

The Hebrew word translated “feasts” is moedim, meaning appointed times. These are appointments between Yahweh and His people.

The Feast of Trumpets was created to be:

  • A commanded annual Sabbath
  • A memorial announced by trumpet blasts
  • A holy gathering of Yahweh’s people
  • A warning to prepare
  • A prophetic announcement of Yeshua’s return
  • A picture of the resurrection and gathering of the saints
  • A proclamation that Yahweh’s Kingdom will rule the earth

2. The trumpet is a call to awaken

Throughout Scripture, trumpets announce events of great importance. They summon the people, warn of approaching danger, announce war and proclaim the arrival of a king.

“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain.”
—Joel 2:1

The trumpet tells Yahweh’s people:

Wake up. Examine yourself. Repent. Prepare for the coming King.

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression.”
—Isaiah 58:1

The Feast is joyful, but it is also serious. It reminds us that this present world will not continue forever. Yahweh’s appointed time is approaching.

3. It pictures the Day of Yahweh

The prophets connect the sounding of trumpets with the coming Day of Yahweh—the time when Yahweh intervenes in human affairs.

“The great day of Yahweh is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly.”
—Zephaniah 1:14

That day is described as:

“A day of the trumpet and alarm.”
—Zephaniah 1:16

Human government has failed because mankind has rejected Yahweh’s commandments. The trumpet announces that man’s time of rebellion is ending and Yahweh’s righteous government is coming.

4. It pictures the return of Yeshua

Yeshua will not return secretly. His coming will be visible, powerful and accompanied by the sound of a great trumpet.

“They shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect.”
—Matthew 24:30–31

The Feast of Trumpets prophetically points toward the return of Yeshua as King of kings.

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Master, and of his Messiah; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
—Revelation 11:15

The trumpet announces a change of government. Satan’s world will be removed, and Yeshua will establish the Kingdom of Yahweh over the nations.

5. It pictures the resurrection of the saints

The trumpet also announces the resurrection and transformation of Yahweh’s faithful people.

“For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
—1 Corinthians 15:52

“For Yeshua himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahweh: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.”
—1 Thessalonians 4:16

Those who died faithfully are sleeping in their graves. They are not forgotten. At Yahweh’s appointed time, the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised, and the faithful who remain alive will be changed.

Therefore, the Feast of Trumpets is a day of tremendous hope. It points toward the moment when death will no longer separate Yahweh’s people from those they love.

6. It announces the coronation of the King

Trumpets were sounded when kings were crowned.

“Elohim is gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a trumpet.”
—Psalm 47:5

“For Elohim is the King of all the earth.”
—Psalm 47:7

The Feast announces that Yeshua is returning to receive His Kingdom and rule under the authority of Yahweh.

“KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
—Revelation 19:16

He will not return as a suffering servant. He will return as a conquering King, wearing the crown and carrying the authority to judge and govern the nations in righteousness.

7. Why are we commanded to keep it holy?

We keep the Feast holy because Yahweh declared it holy. Holiness is not determined by human tradition, popular opinion or denominational teaching. Yahweh alone has authority to set apart sacred time.

“It is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.”
—Numbers 29:1

The day is holy because:

  • Yahweh commanded it.
  • It belongs to Him.
  • It teaches His plan of salvation.
  • It reminds us to remain spiritually awake.
  • It points toward Yeshua’s return.
  • It proclaims the coming resurrection.
  • It announces the establishment of Yahweh’s Kingdom.

Keeping this day is an act of faith and obedience. We stop our ordinary work because Yahweh has called us away from everyday concerns to focus upon His purpose.

8. How should we observe it?

Scripture gives several clear principles:

Rest from ordinary work

“Ye shall do no servile work therein.”
—Leviticus 23:25

It is an annual Sabbath. Regular employment, unnecessary business and ordinary labor should be set aside.

Hold a holy gathering

It is a holy convocation. Yahweh’s people should gather when possible. This can include a home gathering, prayer, Scripture reading, singing and fellowship.

Hear or sound the trumpet

The trumpet is the identifying sign of the day. It reminds us to awaken, prepare and look toward Yeshua’s return.

Read and hear Yahweh’s Word

A biblical example appears in Nehemiah 8. On the first day of the seventh month, the people assembled and listened attentively as the Law was read.

“And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation…upon the first day of the seventh month.”
—Nehemiah 8:2

Rejoice and share

The people were told:

“Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared…for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”
—Nehemiah 8:10

It is appropriate to enjoy a special meal and remember those who might otherwise have nothing prepared.

The meaning of the Feast

The Feast of Trumpets declares:

The King is coming.
The dead will be raised.
The faithful will be gathered.
The kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of Yahweh.
Yeshua will rule the nations in righteousness.

Yahweh created this day so His people would never forget where history is going. We keep it holy because it is His commanded appointment—a yearly rehearsal for one of the greatest events in all creation.

“Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Yahweh, in the light of thy countenance.”
—Psalm 89:15

Yahweh’s Plan From the Beginning

Yahweh’s Plan From the Beginning

F
rom the beginning Yahweh knew that the angels who he placed on earth might rebel. Angels as spirit beings cannot be destroy. From the beginning Yahweh had a plan to create man, not as spirit as he did the angels. He created man flesh and blood so they could die if they sinned as the angels did. From the beginning he planed for that eventually. He planned to give himself as payment for the sins of man

Yahweh’s Plan From the Beginning

The rebellion of the angels did not surprise Yahweh. Before mankind was created, Yahweh understood that beings given freedom of choice could turn against Him. Therefore, the creation of mortal man—and the sacrifice of Yeshua—was part of His purpose from the beginning.

Yahweh’s foreordained plan. Scripture describes redemption as something Yahweh had already prepared before the foundation of the world.

1. Yahweh created the angels before He prepared the earth for man

When Yahweh formed the earth, the angels were already present:

“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? … When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy?”

— Job 38:4, 7

The angels rejoiced because the earth was originally created in beauty and order. Some of them were evidently given responsibility connected with the earth.

Satan was later called:

“The god of this world.”

— 2 Corinthians 4:4

Yeshua also referred to:

“The devil and his angels.”

— Matthew 25:41

This indicates that certain angels placed under Satan’s leadership eventually joined him in rebellion.

2. Yahweh knew that free moral beings could rebel

Scripture says that Yahweh understands every possible outcome:

“Known unto Elohim are all his works from the beginning of the world.”

— Acts 15:18

“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.”

— Isaiah 46:10

Angels were not created as mindless machines. They could choose whether to remain faithful. Some abandoned the position Yahweh had given them:

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

— Jude 6

Satan himself was originally upright:

“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

— Ezekiel 28:15

Yahweh did not create Satan evil. He created a magnificent spirit being who later corrupted himself:

“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness.”

— Ezekiel 28:17

The capacity to choose loyalty necessarily included the possibility of rebellion. Yahweh understood that possibility from the beginning.

3. The rebellious angels were not simply put to death

Scripture portrays rebellious angels as being restrained and reserved for judgment:

“God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell [tartarōsas], and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.”

— 2 Peter 2:4

“The angels which kept not their first estate… he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness.”

— Jude 6

This is different from the judgment placed upon mortal man. Scripture repeatedly says that human beings can die:

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

— Ezekiel 18:4

The Bible does not directly make the absolute statement, “Spirit beings cannot be destroyed.” Its consistent picture, however, is that the rebellious angels are restrained and punished rather than described as dying in the same manner as flesh-and-blood humanity.

4. Yahweh deliberately created mankind mortal

Yahweh did not create Adam as an immortal spirit being. He formed him from physical matter:

“And Yahweh Elohim formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

— Genesis 2:7

Man did not receive an immortal soul. Man became a living soul—a physical creature dependent upon Yahweh for life.

Yahweh warned Adam that disobedience would result in death:

“For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

— Genesis 2:17

After Adam sinned, Yahweh said:

“Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

— Genesis 3:19

Man was created:

“A little lower than the angels.”

— Psalm 8:5; Hebrews 2:7

Human beings were therefore made mortal. If they followed the way of rebellion, they could die. Their sinful existence would not have to continue forever.

5. Mortality also made redemption possible

Being mortal was not merely a means of ending rebellion. It also allowed sinful human beings to repent, be forgiven, die to the old life, and eventually receive a new nature.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Elohim is eternal life through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.”

— Romans 6:23

Eternal life is a gift. It is not something man naturally possesses.

Those who faithfully follow Yahweh will eventually be changed from mortal to immortal:

“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:53

Yahweh is therefore not merely reproducing another order of angels. He is developing children who experience weakness, temptation, repentance, mercy, obedience, and redemption before receiving immortality.

6. Yeshua’s sacrifice was planned before mankind sinned

The strongest proof that Yahweh anticipated mankind’s fall is that Yeshua’s sacrifice was foreordained before the world’s foundation:

“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.”

— 1 Peter 1:20

Yahweh did not wait until Adam sinned and then hurriedly invent salvation. The One who would give His life for mankind had already been chosen.

Paul wrote that Yahweh’s purpose and grace were given to us:

“Before the world began.”

— 2 Timothy 1:9

Believers were chosen in Yeshua:

“Before the foundation of the world.”

— Ephesians 1:4

Yeshua is also described symbolically as:

“The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

— Revelation 13:8

This does not mean Yeshua was literally killed before creation. It means His sacrificial role belonged to Yahweh’s purpose from the beginning.

7. Yeshua became flesh because a spirit being could not die as man’s sacrifice

To pay the penalty for human sin, Yeshua had to become mortal flesh and blood:

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same.”

— Hebrews 2:14

“But we see Yeshua, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death.”

— Hebrews 2:9

Yeshua was made flesh specifically so that He could suffer death. He then offered His sinless life for everyone:

“That he by the grace of Elohim should taste death for every man.”

— Hebrews 2:9

“While we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.”

— Romans 5:8

The Creator accepted mortality so that mortal mankind could ultimately receive eternal life.

8. Mankind was created with a destiny greater than that of angels

Angels are called ministering spirits:

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

— Hebrews 1:14

The world to come will not be placed under the angels:

“For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come.”

— Hebrews 2:5

Those who are glorified will even participate in judging angels:

“Know ye not that we shall judge angels?”

— 1 Corinthians 6:3

Man begins lower than the angels—weak, physical and mortal—but faithful human beings are destined to become glorified children in Yahweh’s family.

Conclusion

From the beginning, Yahweh knew that giving His creatures freedom of choice created the possibility of rebellion. The rebellion of Satan and the angels did not catch Him unprepared.

Yahweh therefore created mankind differently:

  • Angels were created as spirit beings.
  • Man was created from dust—physical and mortal.
  • Human sin could end in death rather than continuing eternally.
  • Mortal human beings could repent and receive forgiveness.
  • Yeshua could become flesh and pay the penalty for human sin.
  • Those who overcome could later receive immortality as Yahweh’s children.

Yeshua’s sacrifice was not an emergency repair made after Adam sinned. He was foreordained before the foundation of the world. Yahweh knew what mankind might do, knew what redemption would cost, and nevertheless proceeded with His purpose.

Before He formed Adam from the dust, Yahweh had already determined that He would bear the cost of bringing His future children into His eternal family.
