Scripture shows us the system of man is evil, and flawed. That nothing can be salvaged and saved over to Yeshua's kingdom. Here is a study that shows the almost 6000 years of mans rule will be totally destroyed.
Scripture gives a strong case that the present system of human government, civilization, religion, and human rule is temporary, corrupted, and ultimately unable to be carried over into Yeshua’s Kingdom. The biblical picture is not that Yeshua comes to merely repair man's system, but that He replaces it with the government of Yahweh.
1. Satan is called the ruler of this present world
Yeshua Himself identified Satan as the ruler behind the present world order:
“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”
— John 12:31
“The prince of this world is judged.”
— John 16:11
Paul calls Satan:
“the god of this world”
— 2 Corinthians 4:4
And John makes the contrast even clearer:
“The whole world lieth in wickedness.”
— 1 John 5:19
So Scripture distinguishes between Yahweh's coming Kingdom and the present world that is under the influence of Satan.
2. Human governments ultimately belong to this present system
Daniel 2 gives one of the clearest pictures.
Nebuchadnezzar sees a great image representing successive human kingdoms. But then something happens:
“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed.”
— Daniel 2:44
Notice what happens to the existing kingdoms:
“It shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”
— Daniel 2:44
Yeshua's Kingdom isn't added as another political system alongside the existing ones.
The existing kingdoms are destroyed and replaced.
3. Human civilization cannot establish Yahweh's righteousness
Jeremiah states the fundamental problem:
“O Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”
— Jeremiah 10:23
Human beings cannot successfully govern themselves apart from Yahweh.
Proverbs says:
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
— Proverbs 14:12
And Isaiah says:
“All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”
— Isaiah 64:6
The problem isn't simply that mankind has made some bad systems.
The problem is that man cannot produce Yahweh's righteousness through human wisdom and human government.
4. Human wisdom cannot produce the Kingdom of Yahweh
Paul makes this remarkably direct:
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:19
And:
“The world by wisdom knew not God.”
— 1 Corinthians 1:21
Therefore, even humanity's greatest intellectual, political, scientific, and philosophical achievements cannot become the foundation of Yahweh's Kingdom.
The Kingdom comes from Yahweh, not from mankind.
5. Yeshua said His Kingdom is NOT of this present world
When Yeshua stood before Pilate, He said:
“My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight.”
— John 18:36
This doesn't mean His Kingdom has nothing to do with the earth. Scripture says the opposite.
It means His Kingdom does not originate from this present world system.
Its authority comes from Yahweh.
And Revelation shows where it ultimately goes:
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ.”
— Revelation 11:15
That's a transfer of ownership and authority.
6. Nothing corrupt can inherit the Kingdom
Paul gives us an especially important principle:
“Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:50
That principle goes beyond individuals.
The Kingdom requires an entirely different order of existence.
Paul continues:
“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:53
The Kingdom isn't humanity's present system with a Christian label placed on it.
Corruption must be replaced by incorruption.
7. Yeshua doesn't preserve the old order—He makes all things new
Revelation describes the ultimate transition:
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.”
— Revelation 21:1
Then:
“Behold, I make all things new.”
— Revelation 21:5
That is the biblical pattern:
Old → New
Human rule → Yahweh's rule
Corruption → incorruption
Death → life
Satan's influence → Yeshua's government
Man's ways → Yahweh's ways
8. The kingdoms of this world will actually be ruled by Yeshua
Revelation 19 describes Yeshua returning as King:
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
— Revelation 19:16
And Revelation 20 describes His thousand-year reign.
The saints are told:
“They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
— Revelation 20:6
This is not mankind improving mankind's government.
It is Yeshua ruling mankind.
The powerful picture in Daniel
Daniel 7 gives perhaps the clearest summary.
Human kingdoms are represented as beasts:
“These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.”
— Daniel 7:17
Then the Ancient of Days intervenes.
“And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom.”
— Daniel 7:14
And finally:
“The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High.”
— Daniel 7:27
That is the central message:
The kingdoms under heaven eventually belong to Yahweh and His saints—not to the present system of man.
So what can be carried into Yeshua's Kingdom?
Human political systems? No.
Human religious institutions? No.
Human economic systems? No.
Human philosophies? No.
Human traditions that contradict Scripture? No.
Human wisdom that rejects Yahweh? No.
Satan's influence? No.
Corruption and death? No.
What does continue?
Yahweh's truth, His law, His righteousness, His character, and His way of life.
Isaiah describes the coming Kingdom this way:
“For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.”
— Isaiah 2:3
That is why the Kingdom doesn't need to borrow the world's system.
Yeshua doesn't come to save the system of man. He comes to save mankind from the system of man and establish Yahweh's government over the earth.
