WE MUST FORGIVE

We are to forgive those who wrong us. How many times we are to forgive, what we are to forgive. what if we don't forgive? What Yeshua forgave and what he expects us to do

Here is a clear, scripture-only case showing that we are commanded to forgive—how often, what to forgive, what happens if we don’t, and what Yeshua Himself did and expects.

📜 COMMAND: WE MUST FORGIVE

Matthew 6:14–15

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

“When you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any…”

👉 Forgiveness is not optional—it is tied directly to your own forgiveness.

🔁 HOW MANY TIMES?

Matthew 18:21–22

“Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Yeshua said… I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

👉 Meaning: No limit. Always forgive.

“If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day… thou shalt forgive him.”

“Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”

✔ Even deep hurt, bitterness, hatred

👉 Holding grudges interferes with your relationship with Yahweh.

And what of a "church" that puts people out for a perceived offense without counseling, without hope of return
This is something Scripture speaks to very directly—and very seriously.
There is a biblical process for dealing with sin… and groups like this do not match it.

📜 WHAT YESHUA COMMANDED (THE PROCESS)

Step-by-step restoration — not instant rejection

Matthew 18:15–17

“If thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone…
If he will not hear, take with thee one or two more…
And if he neglect to hear them, tell it unto the congregation…”

👉 This is:

• Private first
• Then witnesses
• Then congregation

❗ Not immediate expulsion
❗ Not public shaming first
❗ Not done without effort to restore

❤️ THE GOAL IS ALWAYS RESTORATION

Galatians 6:1

“If a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness…”

• Restore
• Heal
• Bring back

—not destroy or cut off permanently

🚫 WHAT IF THEY JUST CAST YOU OUT?

Yeshua warned this would happen

John 16:2

“They shall put you out of the synagogues… and think that they do God service.”

👉 Some religious groups believe they are right…
while doing something completely against Yahweh’s heart

⚖️ EVEN DISCIPLINE HAS LIMITS

Discipline is temporary—not hopeless exile

2 Corinthians 2:6–8

“Sufficient… is this punishment…
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him…
Confirm your love toward him.”

👉 Even when someone was disciplined:

• It had a limit
• It was followed by forgiveness
• They were to be brought back

❗ CUTTING PEOPLE OFF COMPLETELY IS DANGEROUS

Especially family separation

1 Timothy 5:8

“If any provide not for his own… he hath denied the faith…”

👉 Any group that:

• Breaks families
• Forbids normal love and contact
• Removes hope of reconciliation

…is stepping into very serious error

🔥 WHAT ABOUT NO HOPE OF RETURN?

That is NOT biblical discipline

Because Scripture says:

Luke 15:20

“When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him… and ran…”

👉 The Father is:

• Watching
• Waiting
• Ready to receive

There is always a path back

⚔️ STRAIGHT TRUTH

A group that:

• ❌ Skips Yeshua’s process
• ❌ Refuses restoration
• ❌ Offers no path back
• ❌ Cuts off without mercy

…is not following Yeshua’s instructions
