This is THE GREAT PLAN OF YAHWEH:
THE FIRST RESURRECTION, THE SEA OF GLASS, THE MILLENNIUM, AND THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT
The “Rapture” and the First Resurrection
What is commonly called the “rapture” should be understood in connection with what Scripture calls the First Resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 — “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power…”
Yeshua taught that He would raise His people at the last day:
John 6:40 — “…every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Paul describes this resurrection:
1 Corinthians 15:51–52 — “We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump…”
And:
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 — “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds…”
Notice that the saints are caught up into the clouds to meet Yeshua. The passage does not say that they then spend eternity in heaven.
The First Resurrection will include the faithful servants of Yahweh throughout history—people such as Abraham, Moses, David, the prophets, the apostles, and countless others who belong to Yeshua.
Yeshua spoke specifically of:
Matthew 8:11 — “Many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.”
Hebrews 11 describes many faithful servants—including Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and others—and concludes:
Hebrews 11:39–40 — “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.”
David likewise has not already ascended into heaven:
Acts 2:29, 34 — “David… is both dead and buried… For David is not ascended into the heavens…”
The Two Witnesses
The Two Witnesses will prophesy for 1,260 days:
Revelation 11:3 — “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days…”
They will eventually be killed:
Revelation 11:7 — “…the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.”
After three and a half days, they are restored to life:
Revelation 11:11–12 — “And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them… And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud…”
Their resurrection occurs immediately before the sounding of the seventh trumpet:
Revelation 11:14–15 — “The second woe is past… And the seventh angel sounded…”
This provides an important prophetic connection between the Two Witnesses, the seventh trumpet, and the resurrection of Yahweh’s saints.
Changed From Mortal to Immortal
Those faithful servants who are still alive when Yeshua returns will not need to die first.
They will be instantly changed:
1 Corinthians 15:52–53 — “…the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
The resurrected dead and the transformed living saints will then meet Yeshua:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 — “…caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…”
Yeshua also said that angels would gather His elect:
Matthew 24:30–31 — “…they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels… and they shall gather together his elect…”
The Sea of Glass
Revelation gives us a remarkable picture of victorious saints standing upon what appears to be a heavenly or elevated Sea of Glass:
Revelation 15:2 — “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast… stand on the sea of glass…”
A Sea of Glass also appears before Yahweh’s throne:
Revelation 4:6 — “And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal…”
The identification of the gathering place of the resurrected saints specifically with this Sea of Glass is based upon these passages.
The Marriage of the Lamb
After the saints have been resurrected and glorified, Revelation describes the Marriage of the Lamb:
Revelation 19:7 — “Let us be glad and rejoice… for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”
The bride is clothed in righteousness:
Revelation 19:8 — “…the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
Then comes the marriage supper:
Revelation 19:9 — “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
This occurs during the period when the glorified saints are gathered with Yeshua before His final descent to establish His government over the earth.
Preparing the Saints to Rule
The resurrected saints have a definite purpose.
They will become kings and priests under Yeshua:
Revelation 5:10 — “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
They will reign with Him for one thousand years:
Revelation 20:4 — “…they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
Yeshua also promised positions of authority:
Revelation 2:26 — “And he that overcometh… to him will I give power over the nations.”
And:
Luke 19:17 — “…because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.”
Responsibilities and positions within Yeshua’s coming government will be assigned to the resurrected saints.
THE GREAT ARMY AND THE DAY OF YAHWEH
Revelation describes an enormous army:
Revelation 9:16 — “And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand…”
That is 200 million.
Later, the kings of the earth are gathered for the climactic confrontation:
Revelation 16:14 — “…to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
They are gathered:
Revelation 16:16 — “…into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”
Armageddon—Har Megiddo—is therefore the gathering location associated with the armies. Revelation later describes the actual confrontation with Yeshua:
Revelation 19:19 — “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse…”
It is likely that the human armies will interpret Yeshua and the supernatural host as an “alien invasion”.
The Great Tribulation
Yeshua warned of an unparalleled period of suffering:
Matthew 24:21 — “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world…”
Human survival itself will be threatened:
Matthew 24:22 — “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved…”
Revelation describes catastrophic loss of human life in several judgments (Revelation 6:8; 8:7–12; 9:15–18).
YESHUA DESCENDS AS KING OF KINGS
Revelation presents Yeshua returning triumphantly:
Revelation 19:11 — “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse…”
He is accompanied by the armies of heaven:
Revelation 19:14 — “And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses…”
His title is:
Revelation 19:16 — “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Zechariah describes His feet standing upon the Mount of Olives:
Zechariah 14:4 — “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives…”
This is especially significant because Yeshua ascended from this same general location:
Acts 1:9–12 — Yeshua ascended into heaven, and the disciples subsequently returned from “the mount called Olivet.”
The angels declared:
Acts 1:11 — “This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
The association of His final descent with the Feast of Trumpets is a prophetic based on the feast’s trumpet symbolism (Leviticus 23:23–25) together with the trumpet passages concerning His coming (1 Corinthians 15:52; Revelation 11:15).
THE 1,000-YEAR KINGDOM ON EARTH
After Yeshua's victory, Satan will be restrained:
Revelation 20:1–3 — Satan is bound and shut in the bottomless pit so that he cannot deceive the nations.
Then begins the Millennium:
Revelation 20:4 — “…they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
The saints do not spend the Millennium living in heaven.
They reign on the earth:
Revelation 5:10 — “…we shall reign on the earth.”
Yeshua becomes King over the whole earth:
Zechariah 14:9 — “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth…”
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A PERSON DIES?
The Bible repeatedly describes death as an unconscious state comparable to sleep.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 — “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing…”
Ecclesiastes 9:10 — “…there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave…”
David wrote:
Psalm 146:4 — “His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.”
Yeshua Himself compared death to sleep when speaking about Lazarus:
John 11:11 — “Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.”
He then explained plainly:
John 11:14 — “Lazarus is dead.”
Death, therefore, is pictured as an unconscious sleep awaiting resurrection.
THE SPIRIT OF MAN RETURNS TO YAHWEH
At death:
Ecclesiastes 12:7 — “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
Scripture also speaks specifically of the “spirit of man”:
1 Corinthians 2:11 — “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?”
Job says:
Job 32:8 — “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”
The spirit returning to Yahweh should not be confused with a conscious immortal soul continuing to live independently in heaven. Ecclesiastes states that the dead “know not any thing” (Ecclesiastes 9:5).
The spirit can therefore be understood as preserving what makes that individual who he or she is—the person's identity, character and record—which Yahweh can restore at the resurrection.
THE SECOND RESURRECTION
Revelation distinguishes the First Resurrection from another resurrection:
Revelation 20:5 — “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.”
Thus there are people who are not resurrected until after the Millennium.
Yeshua spoke of a resurrection involving both the righteous and those facing judgment:
John 5:28–29 — “…all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth…”
Paul likewise said:
Acts 24:15 — “…there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”
THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES
Ezekiel 37 gives an extraordinary picture of dead people being restored to physical human life.
The bones come together:
Ezekiel 37:7 — “…the bones came together, bone to his bone.”
Flesh returns:
Ezekiel 37:8 — “…the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above…”
Then breath enters them:
Ezekiel 37:10 — “…the breath came into them, and they lived…”
Yahweh explains:
Ezekiel 37:12 — “O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves…”
This provides an important biblical foundation for understanding a resurrection to physical life after the Millennium.
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT
After the Millennium comes the Great White Throne:
Revelation 20:11 — “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it…”
Then:
Revelation 20:12 — “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…”
The books are opened, and people are judged:
“…and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
This judgment need not mean instantaneous condemnation. Biblical judgment can describe a period in which people are evaluated and given opportunity to respond to Yahweh.
THE 100-YEAR PERIOD
Isaiah contains a fascinating prophecy:
Isaiah 65:20 — “…for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.”
This passage shows a 100-year period of judgment for those resurrected after the Millennium.
Revelation 20 shows that the Great White Throne Judgment lasts 100 years. This comes from understanding the connection of Revelation 20 with Isaiah 65:20.
Billions who lived without genuinely understanding Yahweh's truth could therefore be raised and given an opportunity to learn.
Yeshua indicated that people from previous generations would rise together in judgment:
Matthew 12:41 — “The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation…”
And:
Matthew 12:42 — “The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation…”
THE WORLD HAS BEEN DECEIVED
Scripture teaches that Satan has deceived the world:
Revelation 12:9 — “…Satan, which deceiveth the whole world…”
Paul describes Satan as:
2 Corinthians 4:4 — “the god of this world” who “hath blinded the minds of them which believe not…”
Therefore, countless people throughout history have lived and died without understanding the complete truth of Yahweh.
Scripture establishes the principle that humanity has been deceived and must ultimately be brought to the knowledge of truth.
Yahweh:
1 Timothy 2:4 — “Will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
YAHWEH'S LAW IN THE COMING KINGDOM
Those who receive life must ultimately turn from sin.
Scripture defines sin:
1 John 3:4 — “Sin is the transgression of the law.”
Yeshua said:
Matthew 19:17 — “…if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”
The Sabbath remains identified as Yahweh's holy day:
Exodus 20:8 — “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
Isaiah even pictures Sabbath observance in the future:
Isaiah 66:23 — “…from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me…”
Zechariah specifically describes nations keeping the Feast of Tabernacles after Yeshua establishes His Kingdom:
Zechariah 14:16 — “…every one that is left of all the nations… shall even go up from year to year to worship the King… and to keep the feast of tabernacles.”
Yahweh's seven annual appointed times are given in Leviticus 23:
Passover — Leviticus 23:5
Unleavened Bread — Leviticus 23:6–8
Pentecost — Leviticus 23:15–21
Trumpets — Leviticus 23:23–25
Atonement — Leviticus 23:26–32
Tabernacles — Leviticus 23:33–35
The Eighth/Last Great Day — Leviticus 23:36, 39
THE LAKE OF FIRE — DEATH, NOT ETERNAL TORTURE
Those who finally and knowingly reject Yahweh will face the Lake of Fire.
But Scripture identifies its result as death:
Romans 6:23 — “For the wages of sin is death…”
Yeshua said Yahweh can:
Matthew 10:28 — “…destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Malachi describes the wicked ultimately becoming ashes:
Malachi 4:1 — “…all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up…”
And:
Malachi 4:3 — “…the wicked… shall be ashes under the soles of your feet…”
Revelation calls the Lake of Fire:
Revelation 20:14 — “the second death.”
Therefore, the final punishment of the incorrigibly wicked is eternal death, not immortal human beings screaming forever in conscious torment.
THE EARTH IS PURIFIED BY FIRE
Peter describes a future purification:
2 Peter 3:10 — “…the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
Then comes something magnificent:
2 Peter 3:13 — “Nevertheless we… look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
John sees the same future:
Revelation 21:1 — “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth…”
NEW JERUSALEM DESCENDS FROM HEAVEN
Humanity's ultimate destination is not described as everyone permanently going away to heaven.
Instead, New Jerusalem comes down from heaven:
Revelation 21:2 — “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven…”
Then comes one of the greatest promises in Scripture:
Revelation 21:3 — “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them…”
Death itself will finally disappear:
Revelation 21:4 — “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death…”
HOW LARGE IS NEW JERUSALEM?
Revelation gives its dimensions:
Revelation 21:16 — “…the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal… twelve thousand furlongs.”
Depending upon the exact ancient measurement used for a furlong/stadion, this is commonly calculated at roughly 1,400–1,500 miles.
Thus New Jerusalem is pictured as approximately:
1,500 miles long
1,500 miles wide
1,500 miles high
The city is enormous beyond anything humanity has ever constructed.
(I personally believe the city will be a pyramid)
THE AGES OF ETERNITY
The story does not end with the Millennium or even with New Jerusalem.
Yahweh declares:
Revelation 21:5 — “Behold, I make all things new.”
Paul says that creation itself presently suffers corruption:
Romans 8:21–22 — “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption… For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
And creation awaits the revealing of Yahweh's children:
Romans 8:19 — “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
Yahweh's purpose extends into:
Ephesians 2:7 — “the ages to come…”
Yahweh's glorified family will participate in transforming and administering the universe.
THE GREAT PLAN OF YAHWEH
Put together, the biblical sequence presented in this understanding is:
1. The present age
Humanity lives in a world deceived by Satan.
Revelation 12:9
2. The Great Tribulation and end-time events
Unprecedented worldwide suffering occurs.
Matthew 24:21–22
3. The Two Witnesses complete their testimony
They prophesy 1,260 days, are killed, and are restored to life.
Revelation 11:3–12
4. The First Resurrection
The dead saints are resurrected and the faithful living are transformed.
1 Corinthians 15:51–53; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:6
5. The Marriage of the Lamb
The Bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7–9
6. Yeshua returns as King of kings
He defeats the rebellious armies of the earth.
Revelation 19:11–21
7. His feet stand upon the Mount of Olives
Zechariah 14:4
8. Satan is restrained
Revelation 20:1–3
9. Yeshua and the saints rule the earth for 1,000 years
Revelation 5:10; 20:4–6
10. The rest of the dead are resurrected
Revelation 20:5, 11–13
11. The Great White Throne Judgment
Billions who never truly understood Yahweh's truth are given judgment according to His truth.
Matthew 12:41–42; Revelation 20:11–13
12. The incorrigibly wicked experience the Second Death
They are destroyed rather than eternally tortured.
Matthew 10:28; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14–15
13. The present earth is purified
2 Peter 3:10–13
14. A new heaven and new earth appear
Revelation 21:1
15. New Jerusalem descends from heaven
Revelation 21:2–3
16. Death, sorrow, crying and pain disappear forever

17. Yahweh makes all things new

THE GREAT HOPE
The biblical hope is therefore not that righteous people die and immediately go to heaven while the lost suffer eternally in hell.
The great hope presented throughout Scripture is RESURRECTION.
1 Corinthians 15:22 — “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
The dead sleep.
Ecclesiastes 9:5; John 11:11–14
The saints will be resurrected.
1 Corinthians 15:51–53; 1 Thessalonians 4:16
They will become immortal.
1 Corinthians 15:53–54
They will reign with Yeshua.
Revelation 20:4–6
They will reign on the earth.
Revelation 5:10
The rest of the dead will later rise.
Revelation 20:5, 11–13
The finally unrepentant will experience the Second Death.
Revelation 20:14–15
Death itself will ultimately be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 15:26; Revelation 21:4
And Yahweh will make:
“ALL THINGS NEW.” — Revelation 21:5
That is the magnificent hope of the resurrection and the coming Kingdom of Yahweh.

THE “RAPTURE” DECEPTION
What the Bible Really Says About the First Resurrection
The popular teaching of a secret pre-tribulation “rapture” says that Yeshua will suddenly remove believers from the earth before the Great Tribulation and take them to heaven.
But when the relevant passages are placed together, a very different picture emerges.
Scripture teaches a visible return of Yeshua, the resurrection of the faithful dead, the instant transformation of the faithful who are still alive, their gathering to Yeshua in the clouds, the establishment of His Kingdom on earth, and the resurrection of the rest of humanity later.
The biblical hope is not escape to heaven.
The biblical hope is resurrection and the Kingdom of Yahweh.
1. THE BIBLE CALLS IT THE FIRST RESURRECTION
The clearest name Scripture gives this event is:
Revelation 20:6
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection…”
This resurrection is for the saints who will reign with Yeshua.
Revelation 20:4
“…they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
The rest of the dead are not raised at that time.
Revelation 20:5
“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.”
This immediately establishes at least two distinct resurrection periods:
The First Resurrection — before the Millennium.
The resurrection of the rest of the dead — after the Millennium.
2. THE DEAD IN YESHUA RISE FIRST
Paul described the resurrection in unmistakable language.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
Notice the sequence.
Yeshua descends.
There is a shout.
There is the voice of an archangel.
There is a trumpet.
Then the dead in Yeshua rise.
Nothing about this sounds secret.
3. THE LIVING SAINTS ARE CHANGED
Those faithful servants who remain alive at Yeshua’s coming will not need to die first.
1 Corinthians 15:51
“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.”
When?
1 Corinthians 15:52
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump…”
The mortal body becomes immortal.
1 Corinthians 15:53
“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
The resurrection is therefore not merely people rising from graves.
It also includes the instantaneous transformation of living faithful believers.
4. THE SAINTS ARE CAUGHT UP INTO THE CLOUDS
After the dead are resurrected:
1 Thessalonians 4:17
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…”
This verse is often used to teach that believers are taken to heaven.
But it does not say that.
It says they meet Yeshua in the air.
The word translated “meet” carries the idea of going out to meet an arriving dignitary and accompanying him.
The direction of Yeshua’s coming is toward earth.
5. YESHUA RETURNS TO EARTH
Zechariah gives the destination.
Zechariah 14:4
“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives…”
Yeshua ascended from the Mount of Olives.
Acts 1:9
“…he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”
The angels then said:
Acts 1:11
“This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
The disciples then returned from:
Acts 1:12
“the mount called Olivet.”
Yeshua departed from the Mount of Olives.
Zechariah says His feet will again stand upon the Mount of Olives.
That is not a picture of the saints permanently disappearing into heaven.
6. THE RETURN IS VISIBLE
Yeshua warned against claims that His coming would be hidden or secret.
Matthew 24:26
“Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth…”
Why?
Because His coming will be unmistakable.
Matthew 24:27
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Then:
Matthew 24:30
“…they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
Revelation says:
Revelation 1:7
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…”
The biblical return is public, powerful and visible.
7. THE RESURRECTION OCCURS AFTER GREAT TRIBULATION EVENTS
One of the strongest arguments against a pre-tribulation removal of all believers is found in Matthew 24.
Yeshua describes the Great Tribulation:
Matthew 24:21
“For then shall be great tribulation…”
Then He says:
Matthew 24:29
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days…”
After that:
Matthew 24:30
“…they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven…”
Then:
Matthew 24:31
“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect…”
The sequence is very important.
Tribulation events
then
Yeshua appears
then
the trumpet sounds
then
the elect are gathered.
That is extremely difficult to reconcile with the idea that all believers disappeared years earlier.
8. THE RESURRECTION IS CONNECTED TO THE LAST TRUMPET
Paul wrote:
1 Corinthians 15:52
“…at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible…”
Revelation describes a seventh trumpet:
Revelation 11:15
“And the seventh angel sounded…”
At that trumpet:
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ…”
This strongly connects the resurrection with the final phase of Yeshua’s assumption of rule over the earth.
9. THE TWO WITNESSES COME FIRST
Revelation describes two extraordinary servants of Yahweh.
Revelation 11:3
“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days…”
That is 1,260 days.
They eventually finish their testimony.
Revelation 11:7
“…the beast… shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.”
Their bodies remain unburied.

They stand upon their feet.

This places the resurrection of the Two Witnesses immediately before the seventh trumpet.
This may indicate that they are among the very first people raised in connection with the First Resurrection.
10. THE FAITHFUL OF OLD HAVE NOT ALREADY RECEIVED THEIR REWARD
The righteous dead are not already enjoying their final reward in heaven.
Hebrews describes Abraham and many other faithful servants.
Hebrews 11:13
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises…”
Later:
Hebrews 11:39
“And these all… received not the promise…”
Why?
Hebrews 11:40
“…that they without us should not be made perfect.”
They receive their perfection together with the rest of Yahweh’s faithful people.
David likewise did not ascend to heaven.
Acts 2:34
“For David is not ascended into the heavens…”
That was said after Yeshua’s resurrection.
11. ABRAHAM, MOSES, DAVID AND THE PROPHETS WILL BE IN THE KINGDOM
Yeshua said:

“Many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob…”
Luke says:
Luke 13:28
“…Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God…”
These faithful servants await resurrection.
They are not already enjoying their final inheritance.

Speaking of firstfruits.

The New Testament Church also received the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

The saints are repeatedly called firstfruits.
James 1:18
“…that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
Revelation 14:4
“…These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”
For that reason, Pentecost shows a prophetic picture of the resurrection of Yahweh’s firstfruits.
13. THE SAINTS AND THE SEA OF GLASS
Revelation repeatedly describes a Sea of Glass.
Revelation 4:6
“And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal…”
Later John sees victorious servants of Yahweh:
Revelation 15:2
“…them that had gotten the victory over the beast… stand on the sea of glass…”
They sing:
Revelation 15:3
“the song of Moses… and the song of the Lamb…”
This is a remarkable picture of saints who have overcome the beast system and now stand glorified before Yahweh.
The Sea of Glass is the gathering location of the resurrected saints before Yeshua’s descent to earth.
14. THE APPROXIMATELY 4½-MONTH PERIOD
The First Resurrection, occuring on Pentecost and Yeshua’s final descent to the Mount of Olives are connected prophetically with Trumpets, the time between the two appointed festivals will approximately four months, depending upon the Hebrew calendar year.
This interval will provide time for several prophetic events.
15. THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB
Revelation describes a marriage involving Yeshua and His people.
Revelation 19:7
“for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”
The bride is clothed in righteousness.
Revelation 19:8
“…the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
Then:
Revelation 19:9
“Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
This occurs immediately before Revelation describes Yeshua riding forth as King of kings.
16. THE SAINTS MUST RECEIVE THEIR ASSIGNMENTS
The glorified saints will not merely exist in the Kingdom.
They will govern.

“…hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
Yeshua promised:

“And he that overcometh… to him will I give power over the nations.”

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne…”
Yeshua’s parable of the pounds shows different governmental responsibilities.
Luke 19:17
“…have thou authority over ten cities.”
Another receives five cities.
Luke 19:19
This shows that positions of responsibility will be assigned according to faithfulness.
17. DAVID TO AGAIN RULE ISRAEL UNDER YESHUA
Several prophetic passages speak of David in the future Kingdom.
Jeremiah 30:9
“…David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.”
Ezekiel 37:24
“And David my servant shall be king over them…”
The resurrected David will hold a high governmental position over restored Israel under Yeshua.
18. THE APOSTLES WILL RULE THE TWELVE TRIBES
Yeshua promised the apostles:

“…ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Therefore the saints will have specific governmental assignments.
19. THE 200-MILLION-MAN ARMY
Revelation describes an enormous army.
Revelation 9:16
“And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand…”
That equals 200 million.
The prophecy later describes the kings of the earth being gathered.
Revelation 16:14
“…to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
They gather at:
Revelation 16:16
“a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”
Armageddon is therefore the gathering area.
The final battle itself involves resistance against Yeshua.
Revelation 19:19
“…the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse…”
20. WHY WOULD HUMAN ARMIES FIGHT YESHUA?
Scripture does not explain exactly what these rulers will think.
They may view the supernatural appearance of Yeshua and His armies as an invading alien force.
What Scripture explicitly says is:
Revelation 19:19
They gather “to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.”
Human rulers will literally attempt to resist the returning King.
21. THE GREAT TRIBULATION WILL BE CATASTROPHIC
Yeshua described it as unlike anything previously experienced.

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world…”
Human extinction would become possible if Yahweh did not intervene.

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved…”
Revelation describes staggering levels of death.

The belief that as much as 90% of humanity could perish is obtained by combining multiple prophetic judgments.

This is the same general location associated with His ascension.
Yeshua returns to the earth from which He departed.

The Kingdom is not primarily established in heaven.
It is established over the nations of earth.

31. WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY DIE?
The Bible does not describe ordinary dead humans as consciously observing events from heaven.

“the dead know not any thing…”

Ecclesiastes 9:10
“…there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave…”
David wrote:
Psalm 146:4
“…in that very day his thoughts perish.”
Death is repeatedly compared to sleep.
32. YESHUA CALLED DEATH SLEEP

“Our friend Lazarus sleepeth…”
The disciples misunderstood.
Yeshua clarified:

“Lazarus is dead.”
Death is therefore like a state of unconscious sleep awaiting resurrection.

Scripture distinguishes this spirit from the body.
1 Corinthians 2:11
“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?”
This “spirit of man” is understood as preserving the identity and character of the individual.
But the dead person remains unconscious.
The spirit itself is not described as a separate conscious human personality living in heaven.
34. THE REST OF THE DEAD LIVE AGAIN
After the Millennium:

“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.”
This establishes another resurrection.
35. THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

Books are opened.
People are judged.
The Greek word translated “books” is biblia, from which we get “Bible.”
This showst that Yahweh’s truth is opened to people who never understood it before.
36. BILLIONS WILL THEN RECEIVE THEIR FIRST TRUE OPPORTUNITY
Yeshua said:

“The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation…”
He also said:
Matthew 12:42
“The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation…”
People from widely separated historical periods appear together in a future judgment.
This fits remarkably well with a general resurrection after the Millennium.
37. EZEKIEL 37 SHOWS A RESURRECTION TO PHYSICAL LIFE
Ezekiel sees dry bones.
Ezekiel 37:5
“Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live…”
Bodies are reconstructed.
Ezekiel 37:8
“…the sinews and the flesh came up upon them…”
Then breath enters.
Ezekiel 37:10
“…the breath came into them, and they lived…”
Yahweh explains:
Ezekiel 37:12
“I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves…”
This shows a resurrection to physical human life.
38. THE 100-YEAR JUDGMENT PERIOD
Isaiah says:
Isaiah 65:20
“…the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.”
This describes a 100-year period during which resurrected human beings learn Yahweh’s truth and choose whether to obey Him.
This fits the concept of the Great White Throne Judgment.
This comes from connecting Revelation 20 with Isaiah 65.
39. WHY WERE SO MANY PEOPLE DECEIVED?
Revelation gives the answer.
Revelation 12:9
“…Satan… deceiveth the whole world…”
Paul says:
2 Corinthians 4:4
“…the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not…”
Yeshua warned of religious deception.
Matthew 24:4-5
“Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name…”
Therefore, billions throughout history may have sincerely believed false teachings without ever understanding Yahweh’s full truth.
40. YAHWEH DESIRES HUMANITY TO LEARN THE TRUTH
1 Timothy 2:4
Yahweh “will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
Peter says:
2 Peter 3:9
Yahweh is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
This does not mean everyone will ultimately choose life.
It means Yahweh’s purpose includes a genuine opportunity for humanity to understand and repent.
41. YAHWEH’S LAW WILL STILL MATTER

The Sabbath is part of those commandments.

Paul did not comfort grieving believers by telling them their loved ones were already alive in heaven.
He pointed them toward the resurrection.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep…”
He then explained that the dead would rise when Yeshua returns.

Then he concluded:

The dead are asleep.
They are at peace.
They know nothing of the passing years.
Then the trumpet sounds.
The graves open.
