the great family reunion

THE TRUTH IS SO COMFORTING

Scripture shows the great family reunion happens at the end of Yeshua's 1000 year reign on earth.
All that have ever lived will be resurrected and given a chance to accept Yahweh and have eternal life.
The second resurrection followed by a period of judgment, an opportunity for salvation rather than immediate condemnation.
Here are key passages showing this:

1. The two resurrections

Revelation 20:4-6

"They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years... This is the first resurrection... Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection..."

This passage explicitly speaks of a first resurrection, implying another resurrection later.

Revelation 20:5

"But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished."

Those not in the first resurrection are raised after the Millennium.

2. All who have ever died will be resurrected

John 5:28-29

"The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth..."

Yeshua says all who are in the graves will be raised.

3. Everyone will stand before Yahweh

Revelation 20:11-13

"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God... And the sea gave up the dead... Death and Hades delivered up the dead which were in them."

No one is forgotten.

Kings, peasants, children, people who never heard the Gospel—all are raised.

4. The books are opened

Revelation 20:12

"...books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life."

The Greek word for "books" (biblia) suggests instruction. This shows an "opportunity for salvation" as the Scriptures are opened to people for the first time while the Book of Life is also opened, giving access to eternal life.

5. The dry bones vision pictures national resurrection

Ezekiel 37:1-14

Israel is raised from its graves.

They receive flesh, breath, and are placed back into their land.

Yahweh says,

"I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live."

These people are restored to physical life, not immediately changed into immortal spirit beings.

6. Yahweh wants everyone saved

1 Timothy 2:3-4

"...God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

2 Peter 3:9

"The Lord... is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

7. Many have never had a genuine opportunity

Throughout history billions have:

  • never heard the name of Yeshua
  • died in infancy
  • lived before His first coming
  • been taught false religion
  • been deceived

Scripture also says:

Revelation 12:9

"...the whole world" has been deceived.

8. Judgment does not always mean immediate sentencing

1 Peter 4:17

"Judgment begins at the house of God."

Believers are under judgment now, yet they are still living and growing.

The Great White Throne Judgment is a period during which resurrected people learn Yahweh's ways before their final response.

9. Then comes the great family reunion

Imagine:

  • Adam and Eve
  • Abel
  • Abraham and Sarah
  • Moses
  • Ruth
  • David
  • Isaiah
  • your parents
  • your grandparents
  • faithful friends
  • children who died young
  • people from every nation and generation

Billions awakened into a world where Satan has already been removed (after his final rebellion described in Revelation 20), Yeshua has reigned for a thousand years, and the earth has been taught righteousness.

Families separated by death embrace again.

Those who never truly knew Yahweh finally have the opportunity to learn His ways.

10. Finally, eternal life is offered

Revelation 20:15

"Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

This judgment follows the resurrection and the opening of the books. Those who willingly receive Yahweh's way have their names in the Book of Life, while those who ultimately reject Him face the second death.

A Hope That Comforts

For those who understand Scripture, the end of the Millennium is more than a judgment—it is the greatest reunion in human history. Every generation is gathered. Every person finally stands before Yahweh. Every individual sees the truth without Satan's deception. Then each person makes an informed decision whether to receive Yahweh's gift of eternal life.

It is a picture of a God who is both perfectly just and abundantly merciful.
