THE KINGDOM OF YAHWEH

THE KINGDOM OF YAHWEH

Scripture shows what the Kingdom of Yahweh is.

Why the earth was restored for man.

Why man was created.

What the future of mankind is.

Why the Earth Was Restored, Why Man Was Created, and the Future of Mankind

The Kingdom of Yahweh is the central message running through Scripture. Yahweh created mankind for a magnificent purpose: to become His children, bear His character, inherit His Kingdom, and govern the restored earth under Yeshua.

The Kingdom is not merely a feeling in someone’s heart. It is a real government, ruled by a real King, which will be established upon this earth.

1. What Is the Kingdom of Yahweh?

A kingdom consists of:

  • A king
  • A government
  • Laws
  • Territory
  • Subjects

The Kingdom of Yahweh possesses all five. Yahweh is the supreme King, Yeshua is the appointed King under Him, Yahweh’s commandments are its laws, the earth is its territory, and ultimately all nations will become its subjects.

“The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.”
— Psalm 103:19

Yahweh has always been sovereign, but mankind has rejected His government. The Gospel announces that His righteous rule will be visibly established over the nations through Yeshua.

Yeshua preached the Gospel of the Kingdom

“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
— Mark 1:14–15

Yeshua’s message contained three essential points:

  1. The Kingdom of Yahweh is coming.
  2. People must repent.
  3. They must believe and obey the Gospel.

After His resurrection, Yeshua continued teaching about that Kingdom:

“To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs… speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”
— Acts 1:3

The Gospel is not merely the message that Yeshua died for our sins. His sacrifice makes our salvation possible, but the Gospel He preached was the good news of the coming Kingdom of Yahweh.

2. The Kingdom Will Replace the Governments of This World

The Kingdom of Yahweh is not another human political system. It is a divine government that will replace every government created by mankind.

Daniel described a great image representing successive human empires. In the days of the final system, Yahweh will establish His Kingdom:

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed…and it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”
— Daniel 2:44

At Yeshua’s return, the kingdoms of this world will come under His authority:

“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
— Revelation 11:15

Yeshua will return as:

“KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
— Revelation 19:16

This is a literal change of world government. Human misrule will end, and Yahweh’s righteous government will fill the earth.

3. Why Was the Earth Restored for Man?

(Click here to learn why the earth was destroyed and restored for man. Bible Study and Song)

Genesis begins with Yahweh’s original creation:

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
— Genesis 1:1

Scripture shows that Yahweh did not create the earth to remain empty or in confusion:

“For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it…he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited.”
— Isaiah 45:18

Genesis 1:2 describes the earth as “without form, and void”—tohu va-bohu. Those same words can describe waste, emptiness, and desolation.

The following verses describe Yahweh bringing light, order, life, vegetation, animals, seasons, and habitable land to the earth. The earth was prepared as a home for mankind.

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
— Psalm 115:16

The earth was restored and prepared because it would become the setting in which Yahweh would create, teach, test, and ultimately glorify His human children.

Earth is not a temporary mistake destined to be abandoned. It is central to Yahweh’s plan.

4. Why Was Man Created?

The purpose of mankind is revealed in the very words spoken at man’s creation:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”
— Genesis 1:26

“So God created man in his own image…”
— Genesis 1:27

Human beings were created after the Yahweh kind—not as animals, angels, or self-existing divine beings, but in Yahweh’s image and likeness.

This involves more than physical appearance. Yahweh intends for mankind to develop His spiritual character:

  • Love
  • Truth
  • Righteousness
  • Mercy
  • Faithfulness
  • Justice
  • Self-control

Human beings were also given dominion, foreshadowing their future responsibility in Yahweh’s Kingdom.

“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.”
— Psalm 8:6

Man was created to become like Yahweh in character and to govern His creation according to His righteous ways.

5. Yahweh Is Building a Family

Yahweh’s plan is a family plan. Those who receive His Spirit are called His children.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
— Romans 8:14

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
— Romans 8:16

Yahweh’s children are presently begotten spiritually, awaiting their complete transformation at the resurrection.

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him.”
— 1 John 3:2

Yeshua is described as the firstborn among many brethren:

“That he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
— Romans 8:29

Yeshua is not meant to remain the only glorified Son. He is the firstborn of the family into which faithful human beings may ultimately be born through the resurrection.

“For it became him…in bringing many sons unto glory…”
— Hebrews 2:10

This is the magnificent purpose of mankind: Yahweh is bringing many children into glory.

6. Why Was Man Created Mortal?

Adam was formed from the dust:

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
— Genesis 2:7

Man did not receive an inherently immortal soul. He became a living being. Because man was created physically, the consequences of sin could be death.

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
— Ezekiel 18:4

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23

Eternal life is a gift—not something human beings already possess.

Physical life provides a temporary arena in which we can learn, choose, repent, and develop righteous character. Those who refuse Yahweh’s way do not have to live forever in rebellion and misery. Life can end, while eternal life is granted to those who receive Yahweh’s gift through Yeshua.

7. Mankind Must Learn Yahweh’s Way

Yahweh gave humanity the freedom to choose. Adam and Eve rejected His authority by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

This represented mankind claiming the right to decide good and evil independently of Yahweh.

The results surround us:

  • War
  • Violence
  • Oppression
  • Deception
  • Broken families
  • Sickness
  • Suffering
  • Death

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
— Proverbs 14:12

Humanity is learning through painful experience that life apart from Yahweh’s government cannot produce lasting peace.

“O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”
— Jeremiah 10:23

Yahweh has permitted mankind to experience the consequences of self-rule, but He has not abandoned His creation.

8. Yeshua Made Mankind’s Future Possible

All have sinned and therefore earned death:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23

Yeshua gave His life to pay the penalty for sin:

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8

His sacrifice does not give us permission to continue sinning. It opens the way for repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation and transformation.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”
— Acts 3:19

Yeshua is also the example we are commanded to follow:

“Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.”
— 1 Peter 2:21

Through Yeshua, human beings can be forgiven, receive Yahweh’s Spirit, develop His character, and ultimately inherit eternal life.

9. The Saints Will Inherit the Kingdom

The reward of the faithful is not an eternity of inactivity in heaven. They will inherit the Kingdom and serve under Yeshua.

“But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.”
— Daniel 7:18

“Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.”
— Daniel 7:22

Yeshua promised rulership to those who overcome:

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.”
— Revelation 2:26

The redeemed will serve as kings and priests:

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
— Revelation 5:10

This is why faithfulness matters now. Yahweh is preparing people to serve others in His coming government.

10. The First Resurrection

When Yeshua returns, faithful servants who have died will be raised, and the faithful who remain alive will be changed.

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout…and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed…For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:51–53

They will no longer be mortal flesh and blood. They will be born into immortality as glorified children of Yahweh.

“It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:44

“And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:49

Revelation calls this the “first resurrection”:

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection…they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
— Revelation 20:6

11. The Kingdom Will Be Established on Earth

At Yeshua’s return, His feet will stand upon the Mount of Olives:

“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives…”
— Zechariah 14:4

He will become King over the entire earth:

“And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.”
— Zechariah 14:9

The saints will reign with Him for a thousand years:

“And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
— Revelation 20:4

This will be a time of restoration, education, healing, and righteous government. The nations will finally learn Yahweh’s ways.

12. Yahweh’s Law Will Govern the Nations

Yahweh’s Kingdom will not be lawless. His Torah will become the foundation of world government.

“For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
— Isaiah 2:3

Yeshua will judge the nations righteously:

“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people.”
— Isaiah 2:4

War will end:

“And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks…neither shall they learn war any more.”
— Isaiah 2:4

The world will learn that Yahweh’s commandments are not a burden. They are the way to peace, freedom, happiness, and abundant life.

13. The Earth Will Be Healed

Under Yeshua’s government, the devastation caused by human misrule will be repaired.

Deserts will become productive:

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.”
— Isaiah 35:1

Physical disabilities will be healed:

“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.”
— Isaiah 35:5

Animals will no longer harm one another:

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb…They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain.”
— Isaiah 11:6, 9

The knowledge of Yahweh will fill the world:

“For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
— Isaiah 11:9

This is why the earth was restored for mankind. It is where Yahweh’s plan is being worked out and where His Kingdom will bring worldwide restoration.

14. The Nations Will Keep Yahweh’s Holy Days

During the Kingdom, the nations will learn to worship Yahweh according to His instructions.

“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations…shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.”
— Zechariah 14:16

The Kingdom will not preserve the religious traditions mankind developed independently of Yahweh. People will be taught His Sabbath, His Holy Days, His commandments, and His way of life.

15. The Rest of the Dead Will Be Raised

The first resurrection does not include every person who has ever lived.

“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.”
— Revelation 20:5

After the Millennium comes a great resurrection and judgment:

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
— Revelation 20:12

Ezekiel saw a vision of dead Israelites restored to physical life:

“Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves.”
— Ezekiel 37:12

Those who lived and died without truly knowing Yahweh will not be forgotten. They will be raised, taught the truth, and given an opportunity to understand, repent, and choose Yahweh’s way.

Yahweh’s plan is far greater and more merciful than the idea that most of humanity is eternally lost without ever understanding the truth.

“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
— 1 Timothy 2:4

16. The Final End of Sin and Death

Those who knowingly and permanently reject Yahweh will not be tortured forever. The final consequence of unrepented sin is death.

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
— Revelation 20:14

Then death itself will be abolished:

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26

“And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.”
— Revelation 21:4

Yahweh’s plan will end not with eternal suffering, but with the complete removal of sin, rebellion, suffering, and death.

17. Yahweh Will Dwell With His Children

After the completion of Yahweh’s plan, there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.”
— Revelation 21:1

The New Jerusalem will come down from heaven:

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven.”
— Revelation 21:2

The ultimate future of mankind is not mankind permanently going away to heaven. Yahweh will dwell with His glorified family:

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people.”
— Revelation 21:3

The faithful will see Him and bear His name:

“And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”
— Revelation 22:4

They will serve and reign with Him forever:

“And they shall reign for ever and ever.”
— Revelation 22:5

The Great Purpose Summarized

Yahweh restored the earth to be inhabited and prepared it as the home and training ground of mankind.

He created human beings:

  • In His image and likeness
  • With the ability to develop His character
  • To become His begotten children
  • To be born into His family through the resurrection
  • To inherit eternal life
  • To serve as kings and priests
  • To help govern and care for His creation

Yeshua came to pay the penalty for sin, reveal the Father, proclaim the coming Kingdom, and open the way for mankind to receive eternal life.

The future of faithful mankind is not eternal idleness in heaven. It is resurrection, transformation, service, rulership, and eternal life in the family and Kingdom of Yahweh.

The Kingdom Is the Answer

The Kingdom of Yahweh is the answer to everything that is wrong with this world.

It will replace human misrule with righteous government, war with peace, deception with truth, sickness with healing, scarcity with abundance, sorrow with joy, and death with eternal life.

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
— Matthew 6:10

That is the Gospel Yeshua preached.

That is why the earth was restored.

That is why man was created.

And that is the glorious future Yahweh has prepared for mankind.
