| Not YET Born Again |
Friends,
I was listening to a bible study today on life after death. One of my favorite truths of God.
I have a video study on the subject pinned to the top of my Facebook page. I hope you will watch it.

Like so many today, the man giving the study does not understand “born again”. He says "we are now born again as believers".
That’s not so. It did prompt a study and explanation of the subject.
NO ONE HAS BEEN BORN AGAIN - The Biblical Evidence Everyone Ignores
I say to those who think they are now born again to take the born again challenge.
Take a knitting needle or something sharp and jam it into your leg. Did it hurt, are you bleeding?
If so, you are not born again.

Scripture clearly shows that those who have God’s Holy Spirit dwelling in them are begotten children of God—not yet born into the full glory of the Kingdom, but in a spiritual gestation, awaiting the resurrection. Here's the biblical proof:
1. We Become God’s Children Through His Spirit
Romans 8:14-17 (KJV)
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…”
- The word “adoption” in Greek is huiothesia, meaning to place as a son—legally and spiritually.
- Those with God’s Spirit are already called His children (not future, but present).
2. The Spirit Is a Sign of Begettal, Not Yet Full Birth
1 John 3:1-2 (KJV)
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him…”
- This passage shows we are now sons of God, though not yet glorified or born into the spirit realm.
3. God Begets Us by His Spirit—We Are Not Yet Born
John 3:5-6 (KJV)
“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
- To be born of the Spirit is to become spirit—this has not happened yet.
- We are begotten now (like an embryo in the womb) and will be born at the resurrection.
James 1:18 (KJV)
“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
- “Begat” = Greek apokueō, meaning to beget, not yet fully born.
- We are spiritual firstfruits, still in the development stage.
4. The Holy Spirit Is the Seed of Begettal
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God…”
- The Greek word here translated "born again" is anagennaō, which can also be rendered "begotten again."
- God’s Spirit is the incorruptible seed (sperma in Greek) planted in us—spiritual life begins, but must grow to full birth at the resurrection.
5. The Full Birth Happens at the Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:50-53 (KJV)
“Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God…
…this mortal must put on immortality.”
- We are not yet spirit beings. We are begotten sons, still flesh and blood.
- Only at the resurrection do we become fully born into God’s spiritual family.

Conclusion:
Those who have received God’s Holy Spirit are begotten children of God, now in spiritual gestation, awaiting full birth into His family at Christ’s return. The Spirit is the proof of our sonship and inheritance.
