The people made their plans,
While Noah built in faith
And trusted Yahweh’s hands.

They were eating, they were drinking,
Making plans for years ahead.
But the earth was filled with violence,
Few believed what Yahweh said.
Noah heard the coming warning,
And he answered faithfully.
Every timber bore a witness
To a judgment they could not see.

Then the rain began to fall,
And the waters started rising.
Will we listen to His call?
Will His coming find us watching?

Give us strength, Yahweh, to stand.
