From Ruin to “Very Good”

In the beginning, Yahweh created
The heavens and the earth.
His work was perfect.
He created it not in vain—
He formed it to be inhabited.

[Verse 1]
In the beginning, before the days of man,
Yahweh formed the earth according to His plan.
Not waste and empty, not darkness and night,
His works were perfect, His creation was right.

But something happened, darkness covered the deep,
The earth lay desolate, silent beneath.
Tohu and bohu—without form and void,
What once stood in order had somehow been destroyed.

The earth became waste,
The heavens lost their light,
But Yahweh would restore it,
And make the darkness bright.

Creation and renewal,
From darkness into light,
Yahweh spoke across the deep
And set the world aright.

He restored the earth again,
Six days preparing all the world
For the children of men.

The anointed cherub lifted up his heart,
Pride and rebellion tore his place apart.
“I will ascend, I will raise my throne,”
Reaching for authority that belonged to Yahweh alone.

Yeshua said, “I saw Satan fall
Like lightning from heaven”—cast down from it all.
Rebellion brought judgment, darkness covered the land,
But chaos could never overthrow Yahweh’s hand.

Day one—light broke through the night,
Day two—the heavens were ordered right.
Day three—the land and the green things grew,
Life returning as Yahweh commanded it to.

Day four—the lights marked seasons and years,
Day five—wings filled the atmosphere.
Day six—the creatures walked the land,
Then Yahweh formed and created man.

Light from darkness!
Order from waste!
Life from desolation
By Yahweh’s power and grace!

The earth was prepared,
The work was complete,
And Yahweh looked upon it—
“Behold, it is very good!”
