Man became a living soul—

The prophets spoke of silent graves,
No work, no knowledge, and no praise.
The faithful sleep beneath the earth,
Waiting for the day when Yeshua calls their names.

A deadly lie the world would hold:

The immortal soul was never Yahweh’s Word;

Plato taught the soul would live,
That death would set the spirit free.
Egypt dreamed of an afterlife—
But that is not what Scripture teaches us to believe.

Greek philosophy entered Rome,
And pagan thought was dressed in robes.
The resurrection lost its place
When men replaced the truth with tales of immortal souls.

But Yahweh’s Word still plainly shows:
