In the beginning Yahweh created
The heavens, the earth, mankind—and the angels.
But flesh is flesh, and spirit is spirit.
And Yeshua told us plainly
What the angels truly are.

The children of this world will marry,
Families rise from generation to generation.
But Yeshua spoke about the world to come,
And revealed the truth of the resurrection.

Neither marrying nor given in marriage,
No more death, no mortal pain.
Equal unto the angels,
Children of the resurrection in Yahweh's name.

Hear the words that Yeshua gave,
Don't add traditions to what He said.
Spirit beings, servants of Yahweh,
They do not marry, they do not wed.

Yahweh makes His angels spirits,
His ministers a flame of fire.
Sent to serve the heirs of salvation,
Carrying out Yahweh's desire.

Not flesh and blood as mortal man is,
Not bound to mankind's physical frame.
Created spirits serving their Maker,
Messengers sent forth in His name.

But what about the days of Genesis,
The sons of Elohim and daughters of men?
Some say angels came down and fathered children—
But look at Yeshua's words again.

The sons of Yahweh were mortal men,
Human families upon the earth.
Don't make the angels into fleshly fathers
When Scripture never gives them human birth.

Matthew twenty-two—
They do not marry.

Luke chapter twenty—
They cannot die.

Hebrews chapter one—
They are spirits.

So let the Bible testify!

Flesh was made to reproduce,
Generation after generation.
But spirit does not live that way—
Look ahead to the resurrection!

No sickness!
No aging!
No dying anymore!

Raised in power, raised immortal,
Into the Kingdom we're waiting for!
