THE SIGN IN HEAVEN
THE SIGN OF HIS COMING (song)
[Verse 1]
The sun will darken in the sky,
The moon will hide her light,
The stars will fall, the heavens shake,
The world will face the night.
Then through the darkness glory shines,
Across the trembling sky—
The sign of our returning King,
The Son of Man draws nigh.
[Pre-Chorus]
Not hidden in a secret place,
Not seen by just a few—
From east to west His glory spreads,
And every eye shall view.
[Chorus]
The sign in heaven will appear,
Like a second sun, so bright and clear;
The nations mourn, the people fear—
Yeshua the King is drawing near!
The clouds will blaze with power and light,
The age of man will end that night;
Lift up your eyes—His Kingdom’s near,
The sign of the Son of Man appears!
[Verse 2]
The heavens roll back like a scroll,
The mountains move and shake;
The rulers cry, “Now hide us from
The wrath we cannot escape!”
For mankind’s kingdoms cannot stand
Before Yahweh’s decree;
The Lamb once hated and rejected
Comes in majesty.
[Pre-Chorus]
The world will know what it has seen,
No man will need explain;
The glory of the coming King
Will shine across the plain.
[Chorus]
The sign in heaven will appear,
Like a second sun, so bright and clear;
The nations mourn, the people fear—
Yeshua the King is drawing near!
The clouds will blaze with power and light,
The age of man will end that night;
Lift up your eyes—His Kingdom’s near,
The sign of the Son of Man appears!
[Verse 3]
First comes the sign within the heavens,
Then mourning fills the lands;
Then they behold Him in the clouds,
All power in His hands.
Ten thousand angels come with Him,
His brightness fills the sky;
The King appointed by Yahweh
Has come to reign on high.
[Bridge]
We will not guess its form or shape,
Nor add unto the Word;
But all the earth will see the sign
Announcing Yahweh’s King.
His glory will consume the dark,
His truth will conquer lies;
The kingdoms of this world will fall—
Yahweh’s Kingdom now shall rise!
[Breakdown]
Every eye shall see Him!
Every nation know!
Yeshua comes in glory—
His power He will show!
No secret disappearance,
No hidden, silent flight;
The King is coming in the clouds,
In overwhelming light!
[Final Chorus]
The sign in heaven will appear,
Like a second sun, so bright and clear;
The nations mourn, the people fear—
Yeshua the King is drawing near!
The clouds will blaze with power and light,
The age of man will end that night;
Lift up your eyes—His Kingdom’s near,
The sign of the Son of Man appears!
[Outro]
The heavens shake…
The darkness clears…
The King approaches…
The sign appears.
Yeshua is coming—
Let all the earth prepare;
The Kingdom of Yahweh
Will rule forever here.
