Yahweh created the physical universe out of spirit.
We are thoughts held in the mind of Yahweh
- Yahweh is Spirit,
- All things came from Yahweh,
- Therefore, all things came from Spirit,
- And human life is sustained in the spiritual will and mind of Yahweh.
Let's explore this step by step.
1. Yahweh is Spirit
John 4:24
“Yahweh is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Yahweh is not material, not made of atoms or elements—He is Spirit, eternal and invisible.
2. Everything that exists came from Yahweh
Romans 11:36
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.”
Colossians 1:16–17
“For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible... all things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
All things—both visible and invisible—were created by and through Yahweh.
3. The seen came from the unseen
Hebrews 11:3
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Yahweh's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
This verse powerfully supports the idea that the physical realm originated from the spiritual. The universe wasn’t formed from existing matter—it came from the invisible (spirit).
4. Creation is sustained by Yahweh’s mind and word
Psalm 33:6
“By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.”
Yahweh spoke creation into existence. His word—His will, thought, or mind—caused physical reality to appear.
Acts 17:28
“For in Him we live and move and have our being…”
We exist within Yahweh’s life, not apart from it. Our very being is tied to His ongoing presence and thought.
5. We are spirit-beings first, held in Yahweh’s mind
Ecclesiastes 12:7
“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to Yahweh who gave it.”
The real you is spirit, temporarily clothed in physical matter.
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”
This shows that our identity existed in Yahweh’s mind before we had a physical form. Our existence begins in His thought and intention.
6. Christ: The Word (Logos) that expresses Yahweh’s Mind
John 1:1–3
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Yahweh. … Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.”
The Greek word Logos means not just “word,” but reason, thought, plan. Creation came through this divine reasoning—through Christ.
Conclusion
So, while the Bible doesn’t use the phrase “we are thoughts in the mind of Yahweh,” the concept is supported spiritually and logically:
- Yahweh is Spirit.
- All things come from Him.
- The physical came from the spiritual.
- Creation came through His Word—His will, mind, and Spirit.
- Human life, too, began in Yahweh's intention and continues in His presence.
