Yeshua, the Suffering Servant (song)

[Verse 1]
A tender shoot from thirsty ground,
No earthly crown, no great renown.
Despised, rejected, bearing grief,
He came to bring the lost relief.
We turned away and would not see
The One who suffered willingly.
[Chorus]
Yeshua, wounded for our sin,
You bore the grief we carried in.
The price of peace was laid on You,
Your faithful love has brought us through.
Like sheep, we wandered far away;
Our Shepherd calls us home today.
[Verse 2]
Before His foes, no threats were heard,
A lamb led forth without a word.
Though innocent of wrong or lies,
He gave His life before their eyes.
Among the wicked, put to death,
Yet mercy filled His every breath.
[Chorus]
Yeshua, wounded for our sin,
You bore the grief we carried in.
The price of peace was laid on You,
Your faithful love has brought us through.
Like sheep, we wandered far away;
Our Shepherd calls us home today.
[Bridge]
A rich man’s tomb received His frame,
But death could never end His name.
Yahweh raised Him from the grave;
He lives to intercede and save.
[Outro]
By His wounds, our hearts are healed;
In His love, our hope revealed.
Turn us from our wandering ways;
Yeshua, lead us all our days.
